The whole concept is brilliant and is what the area badly needs. I would love to play my original material at your venue but have found it extremely difficult to find competent musicians who are willing to take a risk with original material. Am currently working on a solo album at Springvale Studios which I hope to finish early next year.My music is essentially contemporary rock built around an electric acoustic guitar. I do the vocals but have employed local session musicians for bass,drums etc. I supported Darwin in their recent gig at the Wolsey - after which I realized I need to get out and play more. Played in the Music In The Park gig two years ago - on the World stage and on Stephen Foster's BBC stage. I'm looking for musicians who would be prepared to work with me to put together a 1 to 2 hour set; 70% originals perhaps and 30% covers - or maybe no covers at all. When the album is finished in the Spring I want to be ready to gig to support and sell it. I would consider starting work with either a good bass player or keyboard player and start to build the set; adding other musicians as they become available.
